Just Remember to Breathe!
I hope today finds you well, rested and connected to those you love.
I know that all week you have been inundated with resolution advice for the New Year so here are my two cents- Forget about it. You Rock!
You’re fine. Doing a great job. You learned a lot this year, managed triumphs and challenges while remaining flexible and positive.
If you want to work on something in 2015- go for it. Just be gentle with yourself. Have compassion. That ugly voice in your head isn’t helpful for growth.
Breathe.
If you want to eat healthier, take a breath and be mindful in your eating. You know what your body needs but eat worse when you are rushing and stressed.
If you want to be better about your spending, take a breath and be mindful with your money. Make sure that the way you spend your money is reflective of your commitments and values. Nothing wrong with splurges- just make sure they are good ones.
If you want to be a better parent or partner, take a breath before criticising, before getting angry. Get some perspective. Let it go for now.
If you want to be happier, breathe. Find a moment. Slow down. Lower your blood pressure. Smell the roses. Count your blessings. All of that can happen in the moment that you take a breath.
