Maureen Campion, MS LP Licensed Psychologist
Why Transformative Relationship Mediation with Maureen Campion?
Are you facing separation or divorce? Are you struggling to have tough conversations about the future of your relationship? Is it time to change the way your family works? Transformative Mediation with me might be a great option. I offer support in avoiding the hazards of a legalistic approach to family conflict.
I have been licensed as a psychologist since 1998 and have been in private practice as an individual therapist and marriage counselor since 2000. The focus of my work has been to support people in creating healthy relationships in their families. I operate with a focus on secure attachment. I also am committed to working on therapy from a social justice perspective. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I am committed to positive parenting practices.
Couples come to me because they’re stuck. The conversations that they are having, no longer serve them. With some support, I believe in my clients’ ability to find their own best solutions and create healthy transitions. Transformative Mediation focuses on respectful, joint decision-making.
What to expect- Set an appointment for a phone consult
- A 15-30 minute phone intake conversation with each party to make sure mediation with me is a good fit.
- Before we move on, I’ll send each of you an agreement to mediate form to sign with billing information and expectations.
- My billing rate is $225/hr, paid before the session.
- Sessions are either 1 or 2 hours, in-person or virtual.
- We will work through the conversations and decisions you decide for as many sessions as you choose. Mediation is always voluntary and can be ended by either party or the mediator if it is no longer helpful.
- An email review of each session will be sent to both participants.
How does mediation work in divorce?
I will help you and your partner discuss any aspect of how your family is changing where you feel you could use help. Our conversations can lead to solutions about how to proceed with your legal divorce. The decisions can then be used to craft legal documents for moving forward. This can be done online or with the help of a paralegal or attorney.
